Golden card-stock diadem, tempera on paper, brass display, plexiglas case

A brass stand and a small plexiglas sheet serve as a support for a diadem of laurel leaves made of golden cardstock – fastened through two holes in the sheet – and for a sheet of blank paper stained with golden tempera, inserted in the diadem. Overall, the diadem and the sheet evoke the semblances of an ancient shapeless mask, consumed by time.
The same theme was also formulated in a later variant in 1993 (GPO-0716).
