Tutto e niente, 2023

Nine elements in plexiglas cases are placed closed together to form a large painting. Each element is made up of a passepartout with multiple openings – the cut-outs form a thick pattern of geometric figures – that allow the viewer to glimpse a multitude of fragments of photographic reproductions of disparate subjects (artworks, natural landscapes, cosmic images, abstract elements, handwritten notes...).
The mysterious constellation recalls at once All and Nothing, as suggested by the title: echoes of the universe of images known of up to now or the clues of unknown images and still in the making; traces of a known past and at the same time the pieces of an unknown mosaic. On the thin borderline between All and Nothing, the gaze is lost in its search for something that in any case remains unreachable.
