For his intervention at the Château d'Oiron, Paolini preliminarily had a photograph taken of the side with a window of the exhibition room he had been assigned. In that same room the artist hung an enlargement of the photograph mounted on an aluminum panel so that it coincided with the point of view of the photograph. Before the window, which was completely darkened, and just behind the window reproduced in the photograph, he placed a spotlight so that the artificial light beam would replace the sun that penetrates the window in the photograph. “The photograph thus literally lowers the curtain of fiction on the evidence of the reality"1, says the artist.
