A plexiglas sheet hung from the ceiling wavers between two easels placed one in front of the other. One easel holds the primed canvas, the other one holds a plexiglas sheet; both of the elements feature the drawing of two of the countless positions assumed by the suspended sheet (the drawing on the plexiglas is engraved). On the walls, behind each of the easels a reflecting sheet and an overturned canvas suggest the drawing of two other positions of the sheet that hangs at the centre (in this case as well the drawing on the reflecting surface is engraved).
The suspended sheet acts as an unattainable model, as well as being the invisible soul of the work, while its reflections on the four different supports faithfully restore the only genuine reality that we can see: the unstable and mutating reality of the endless hypotheses of a work that is constantly subtracted from an absolute image.
The work constitutes a further development of the theme formulated in two previous works with the same title, made in 2001 (GPO-0862) and in 2002 (GPO-0870), respectively.
